healcalc is a heat loss calculator with multilingual support. It calculates the heat loss of a room in Watt, BTU/h and kcal/h. It takes into account the in and out temperature difference, the material and dimensions of the room surfaces (walls, doors, windows, floor, ceiling), the orientation of each surface and the air gaps and ventilation as a percent of the total heat loss.
Users may experiment with different values as they can move easily back and forth in the calculation stages.
A default, minimalistic web site design is provided. Those who prefer a different layout or more fancy stuff, are expected to get involved with web development and design.
healcalc can become part of other web applications provided that those meet the standards of the AGPL license. To get an idea on how healcalc works, you may try one deployment for art-cool and homeimprove .
